Margaret Henn, Independence Foundation Fellow

Margaret Henn is a 2011 Independence Foundation Fellow, working at RHLS on vacancy prevention and homeownership stabilization. She represents low income homeowners on a variety of housing related legal issues, including title, utility, and real estate tax issues.

Education & Experience

Prior to beginning her fellowship, Margaret interned at Community Legal Services and Philadelphia VIP, where she worked on landlord tenant cases and assisted with the management of foreclosure cases in the Philadelphia Diversion Program. Prior to law school, Margaret worked at St. Ambrose Housing Aid Center, in Baltimore, Maryland.

Margaret received her B.A. in International Studies from Boston College, her J.D. from the University of Pennsylvania Law School, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Leadership from the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice.

Awards

Margaret received an Exemplary Pro Bono Service award from Penn Law. She was a Sparer Summer Fellow in 2010 and received an Equal Justice Works Summer Corps award in 2010 for her work at Community Legal Services.
