How We Work
RHLS provides services through our four Practice Areas and one Special Interest Practice Area:
Practice Areas
- Development Services: RHLS focuses on improving affordable housing opportunities and community and economic development throughout Pennsylvania.
- Housing Law Project (HLP): Through HLP, RHLS provides statewide support to legal services programs that address issues of affordable housing.
- Policy Initiatives: RHLS works to overcome policy-based barriers to progress. Our experienced attorneys analyze public policy and systemic elements with the benefit of historical perspective and the advantage of a visionary eye, quickly identifying critical issues and pinpointing unmet needs.
- HEMAP Help Center: RHLS established this web site to provide support for individuals seeking assistance through the Homeowners Emergency Mortgage Assistance Program (HEMAP), a program of the Pennsylvania Housing Finance Agency.
Special Interest Practice Area
- Â The Pennsylvania Utility Law Project (PULP): RHLS/PULP works to develop policy initiatives and provide information and assistance about residential utility and energy matters affecting low-income consumers.
