Governor Corbett has signed SB 145 into law regarding amendments to the Pennsylvania Mechanics’ Lien Law. The amendment, to be known as Act 117, will become effective on or about September 9. It will preclude subcontractors, sub-subcontractors and materialmen from filing mechanics liens if the general contractor has been paid in full. For a copy of the law, click link: Act 117
