About Cameron Chisholm, PLAN Martin Luther King Kr. Summer Intern, Rising 2L at Drexel University Kline School of Law
I am honored to be a part of the RHLS legal team as a Pennsylvania Legal Aid Network (PLAN) 2024 Martin Luther King Jr. summer intern. I am a rising 2L at Drexel University Kline School of Law.
I am from Abington, Pennsylvania, and I attended Albright College, where I earned my B.A. in English and History. Growing up I have always worked in jobs that have centered on helping and engaging with people. In this way, I have cultivated an interest in helping people from all backgrounds.
Through my internship with RHLS, I am excited to gain practical experience in the field of public interest law while combining it with my interest in property and contract law. I hope to make a positive impact in the community and that my dedication to helping others and my experience will serve me in embarking on this internship journey with RHLS.
In my free time, you can find me binge-watching a TV show or reading a book.
About Joshua Maymir, Rising 2L at the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School
I am excited to join Regional Housing Legal Services (RHLS) as a Summer Legal Intern. I look forward to gaining hands-on experience in facilitating housing and economic opportunities and to being a part of creating affordable housing opportunities in Pennsylvania.
I became interested in affordable housing when I realized how out-of-reach it had become. Having a home is so crucial to a community’s well-being.
As a law student at the University of Pennsylvania and a member of the Penn Housing Rights Project, I learned of Philadelphia’s needs, challenges, and opportunities for housing development. Through my coursework, I also became interested in regulatory and commercial legal practices including land use, contracts, and taxation.
Working with RHLS this summer will be a unique opportunity to further both interests in a nonprofit law firm that does transactional law for community-based projects.
Outside the office, I enjoy exploring the Philadelphia food scene, traveling, and training for my first marathon this Fall.
