Regional Housing Legal Services prides itself on the hundreds of units of housing we create and preserve every year. We recognize, though, that housing is just one piece of what makes a vibrant community.
As such, we are proud to have celebrated the grand opening of La Gourmandine in the Hazelwood section of Pittsburgh, developed with long-time client ACTION-Housing, Inc. The third La Gourmandine location in Pittsburgh will create 8-10 jobs for community residents. The location will additionally include an oven capable of baking fresh bread.
The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette describes the Hazelwood neighborhood as highly affordable but recently suffering from housing vacancy rates between 20 and 25 percent. ACTION-Housing, Inc. is working with the Heinz Endowments on multiple commercial developments with the hope of revitalizing Hazelwood’s commercial corridor.
RHLS Staff Attorney, Bridget Coyne, and Chief Counsel, Mark Levin, provided legal services to ACTION-Housing. Inc. to help bring the project to fruition.
Congratulations to our clients on their latest development!
