Regional Housing Legal Services staff congratulate clients Housing Visions and Genesis Housing Corporation on the grand opening of Beech Street Factor. Beech Street Factory will create 43 units of affordable housing in Pottstown and will house Artfusion, a community art school, and gallery.
The lot formerly housed a furniture factory but remained vacant since 2004. Prior to the grand opening, the development won approval for construction and secured financing in 2015.
RHLSÂ Deputy Director/Senior Attorney for Multi-Family Housing, Dina Schlossberg and Staff Attorney, Kim Dolan, provided their expertise to long-time client Genesis Housing Corporation and their partner, Housing Visions. The partners “put strategies in motion to transform and revitalize the space with the goal to bring life, vibrancy and affordable residential opportunities to a neighborhood plagued by blight.”
