On October 24, 2025, Federation Housing hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Daniel B. Green House in Trevose, its latest senior affordable housing community to open doors. Located at 4695 Somerton Road, the development joins 12 other Federation senior-living communities opened to combat the growing affordable housing crisis.  Daniel B. Green House offers 60 affordable one-bedroom apartments with a large community room on the first floor including dining space and kitchenette for resident use, comfortable seating and access to an adjacent outdoor patio.  Other common areas throughout the building include a computer room, billiard room, game room, and library. Outside, residents can enjoy ample parking, a gazebo and surrounding gardens, and a walking path.  An on-site social worker facilitates access to community services to benefit residents.

The building is named for the late Daniel B. Green, a founding member of Federation Housing who served on its board of directors and championed a period of significant growth in the Federation’s commitment to affordable housing.  The Green family has generously donated to the organization's cause and has sponsored three Federation affordable housing developments.  The Daniel B. Green House sits on land directly next to the Florence E. Green House, named in honor of his late wife.  The outdoor garden and gazebo on the development’s grounds are decorated with specially commissioned artwork symbolizing the couple’s enduring bond and legacy.  The Federation team, headed by Executive Director Eric Naftulin and Director of Real Estate Development Shoshana Bannett, innovatively developed the Daniel B. Green House on open land directly next to the Florence Green building, thereby saving acquisition costs and creating 60 additional and much needed apartments.  The third Federation development sponsored by the Green family, the Samuel Green House, is located on Ashbourne Road in Elkins Park, PA.
